Our Instructors & Staff Members
Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Tang Soo
Do and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify
them as teachers and also mentors.
Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our
staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill
and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of Cutting Edge Karate's
instructors and other staff members:
Brandon Kemmer (Owner/3rd Dan Black Belt)
Mr. K. (as he's known here at the studio) started training in Tang Soo Do in 1990 at the age of 6. He received his Black Belt in
November of 1994. In June of 2004, Mr. K. received his 2nd Dan Black Belt. Along with Mr. Wierman,
Mr. K. designed and teaches the MATRIX (Martial Arts
Tricks) program here at the studio.

- Brandon Kemmer
Doug Cooper (Head Instructor/3rd Dan Black Belt)
Mr. Cooper received his third degree black belt with Cutting Edge Karate in 2008.
He is a dedicated martial artist who strives to increase is knowledge and skills.
Mr. Cooper teaches both the juniors and adult classes. His positive attitude and
willingness to help others are easily seen on and off the mat. He has a goal of
one day owning his own martial arts school. He is an incredible asset
to Cutting Edge Karate.
Daniel Wierman (Head Instructor/1st Dan Black Belt)
Mr. Wierman received his first degree black belt in March of 2006. He is an extremely
talented martial artist and has an excellent teaching ability. Along with Mr. K,
Mr. Wierman designed our MATRIX (Martial Arts Tricks) program, which he also teaches.
Mr. Wierman is in the process of joining the Los Angeles Police Department to
become a full time officer.
Jackie Lewis (Instructor/1st Dan Black Belt)
Miss Lewis teaches in our after school program during the week and on Saturdays in the studio. She
is a very talented instructor who has an excellent ability to work with young children.
She is currently going to college at CSUN.
Adam Parth (Instructor/1st Dan Black Belt)
Mr. Parth teaches in our after school program and every now and then at the studio. He
is an excellent instructor who has a passion for martial arts. Mr. Parth also has his
own business as a professional photographer. He created the student board that's
hanging up in the studio
